St Paul writes: Count yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Christ came to announce the joyful message of peace: peace to those who are far away, peace to those who are near. Through him, in one Spirit, we all have free access to the Father.
The wisdom of God is readily seen by those who love her. Those who seek her will find.
Paul writes: We were beset by conflicts without and by fears within; but God, who encourages the downcast; consoled us.
2 Corinthians 7:1-7
May the God of Peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will.
“Come,” my heart says, “seek God’s face!” Your face, Lord, do I seek.
Jesus said: Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Be quick to listen, but slow to speak and slow to become angry, for human anger does not bring about God’s justice.
Your faithful love supports me, Lord. However great the anxiety of my heart your consolation brings joy to the soul.
The Lord says to his Servant: I have called you in the righteousness. I will take you by the hand and shape you. I will make you a light to the nations.
